Huia Hytte Accommodation Dannevirke

This is a lovely self-contained cottage, like a hotel unit that offers the convenience of the close-by Dannevirke shops, only 1.6km's away, as well as a country feel.

The cottage has a comfortable king size bed in the bedroom and a single bed with additional roll-out single bed in the open plan lounge/dinning area. There is space in the bedroom to fit a portable cot for a baby. We can sleep up to 4 people.

Included in the cost is a complimentary continental breakfast with a choice of cereals, milk, choice of breads for toast and tea, coffee, milo supplies.

The self contained accommodation includes linen and has T.V. & videos, radio alarm clock, microwave, stove and laundry.

There is covered car parking.

Our name Huia Hytte reflects the dual heritage of the area. The Huia bird, now thought to be extinct, once made it's home here and is sacred to Maori. Hytte is Scandinavian for cottage.

Sit back and enjoy the lovely views of the ranges from the accommodation. On and around our farmlet you will see cows, sheep, and ducks around the small pond. We have a selection of various sized gumboots for you to walk around the farmlet. "Stratchy" is our pet rabbit.
